If You’re A WordPress User, You’ll Want To Make Sure Not To Miss The Most Recent Update

Just a quick geek-oriented post today: if you’re a WordPress user and run one or more sites, you probably noticed the recent 4.9.6 update. This one’s a little different than typical updates in that it includes a few key changes that help you make your site compliant with the European Union’s (EU) new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regulations.

I published an article at ArtsHacker that covers those changes along with instructions on what you should do (hint: don’t ignore them). The good news is WordPress has made it as easy as possible to make the few necessary changes you’ll want to put in place.

In short, it doesn't matter if you know where all the bodies are buried if you can't keep your own clients out of the ground, and I'm fortunate enough to say that for more than 15 years, I've done exactly that for groups of all budget size from Qatar to Kathmandu.
