It dawned on me last week that Adaptistration was rapidly approaching 3,000 articles and by a (very) conservative estimate, that’s approximately 2,500,000 words dedicated (mostly) to the business of orchestras.
That means Thursday, April 9, 2015 is post number 3,000 and per one reader’s suggestion via Facebook, I wanted to solicit ideas about the post’s topic. To that end, get in touch with your ideas using Facebook, leaving a comment below, tweeting to @Adaptistration, sending an email, or hang out on Chicago’s Lake Shore Trail and try to get my attention with signal flags (the latter is surprisingly easy).
Congratulations. How about “the 5 things successful orchestras do” or “the 5 things all orchestras should be doing.” The readers may then add their personal 6th.

Interesting notion although it might wander a bit too far into the bear trap of universal advice.
