It seems that the interpretation of unity is more flexible than ever as Peter Dobrin’s article from the 8/17/2011 edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Philadelphia Orchestra Association (POA) musicians sent a letter to their board that formally rejects the orchestra’s recent strategic plan along with taking issue over how their supposed role has been publicly portrayed.

In case you missed it, The Philadelphia Inquirer published an article by Peter Dobrin on 8/1/2011 which reports that hot on the heels of the bankruptcy court ruling that the musicians’ union can have access to some of the documentation it requested regarding the Philadelphia Orchestra Association’s (POA) Endowment, Philly Pops founder Peter Nero has filed a similar request.

According to an article by Peter Dobrin in the 7/27/2011 edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Orchestra Association (POA) is claiming to have spent approximately $2.4 million in bankruptcy related expenses. But according to Dobrin’s report, that doesn’t really bother the POA as the orchestra spokesman, Matt Broscious, defined those expenses and any to follow as “onetime, short-term costs” that are necessary to put the organization back on good financial footing.
